Flash Force 2000

While searching the Preserve back storage for the mysterious Eternia components, I discovered an innocent looking black trash bag, with the label 'Flash Force 5-30-94'. This period of time represents the first of the great cleanings which cast the elements of the Preserve to the four corners of space, only to be recombined in the year 2006. I was at a loss, however, as to what I would find in this bag, having entirely forgotten this line. Then the memories came flooding back, as I undid the aging yellow ties to discover one of my favorite old play sets from the magical year of 1984. I believe that this series of toys was out just very slightly before Transformers, or at least I had them slightly before that time. It stands to reason, then, that my memories of this fun series were roughly pushed aside by the remarkable toys that were soon to hit the shelves in 1984 and beyond.

While I hope to find additional components of this series, so far I have only unearthed the good guy base. An interesting component of these toys, used in both the vehicles and the playsets, was the use of cap-gun caps - making for some high energy (and volume) play. Now days you probably couldn't get away with that, because some kid would either find a way to put out his friends eye, burn down his house or eat the caps themselves. Let that be another feather in the cap of awesome that is 1984, and enjoy the Flash Force 2000 series!

Series Information

Unfortunately, there is no discernable plot on the box, and I'm missing the instruction sheet or any series specific inserts. Hopefully I can provide further information when more pieces are found.
