Cathedral, by Raymond Carver
Containing the trademark cutting insight into human struggle and interpersonal relationships, Carver
brings us 12 more tales to help us understand ourselves a little better. This book sort of makes me think
of Black Mirror - at least the early seasons. A show that you should absolutely not watch two episodes of in
a row, because they are just too heavy. This collection was the same - don't take it all in one sitting
I think it's just too much. Titrated over a week or so, it's a good trip, and the title story is a fitting
end to the collection, delivering the emotional punch one comes to expect but never quite sees coming.
